In English This story is written in swedish, my native language. If you don’t understand, it´s all about street photography in Paris a.. Read More
I´ve been using different camera-system for many years. Mainly Pentax, Nikon and Olympus as well as Leica. First analog cameras like Nikon F2, Pentax Spotmatic, Nikon F3, Pentax LX as well as the Olympus OM range from 1 to 4 and Leica both rangefinder-cameras and SLR:s.
Pentax K-1 with a Sigma 70-200 mm 2,8 that´s survived four Hultsfred festivals and still going strong, I mean the lens that i bought for my Pentax LX and MZ-S. It´s more than 15 years old but still makes marvelous pictures in low light. 1/40 sec, f 2,8.
We have a very impressive painter and sculptor in Sweden. His name is Kaj Engström and he gets his inspiration on a small island north of the bigger island Gotland. This island is called Fårö. That´s swedish for sheep. He paints sheeps in various ways and various situations, but it´s always the sheep from Gotland, where they call a sheep lamm. He also makes obejects with sheets, animals, dolls and so on. He´s.. Read More
Leica has been the low light champion until this millennium. The Leicas, from M3 to M6 has been superior when it comes to take pictures of non moving objects. The lenses are in many cases superior and the focusing are more precise. Specially with wide-angle high speed lenses with apertures like 1,4 or 2,0. Leitz had already the tremendous lens Noctilux 1,0 when the Summilux 35 mm 1,4 dual aspherical was presented as well.. Read More
I do a lot of articles about different vehicles. It can be a huge lorry, an ATV or a racecar. A month ago it was rallycross, world championship in a remote place in western Sweden very close to the Norwegian border. I carried a Nikon D5 with Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2,8G ED VR and a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6,3 Di VC USD. Both lenses performed very well with the new pro-Nikon. Fast an accurate focusing on very.. Read More
There are moments in every photographers life that´s more important or more thrilling than others. I remember the day I´ve got my first Leica. It was a M4 with Summicron lenses, 35 mm and 90 mm. For you who´s used to the Leica nomenclature this of course means 2,0 as maximum aperture. The 90 mm was a huge piece of glass made in Canada. They where both of them really good lenses. Better.. I really like to make a picture where you can se the object moving. It might be a car, a dog a runner or a train. This nice summer evening it just happened to be two dogs. Nikon D5, Nikkor 2,8 70-200 mm, the last but one version. 1/200 seconds, 2,8, quite late in the dusk of a swedish summerday. Later the two dogs started to chase a pack of wild boars. No.. Read More
Data: Nikon D3s with Nikkor 80-200 mm 2,8, 1/125 sek; f/2,8; ISO 320. Photographer: Stefan Nilsson I´ve always loved the art of available light photography. This is some pictures taken for the swedish Trailer-magacine. It´s about a complicated transport of some parts from a harbor to a power plant in south Sweden. For me it was important to balance the working lights in the harbor and the lights on the trucks with the.. Read More
Janowitzbrücke U-bahn i Berlin Data: Leica M med Super Angulon 3,4 21 mm, 1/6 sek; f/4,0; ISO 250 Photographer: Stefan Nilsson Comments: Finally a full frame Leica M that´s useful in low light conditions. Like the original Leica M:s. Alright, this picture could have been taken with a M9, low ISO, but I felt crippled when using the M9 in higher ISO. The combination with this very old Super Angulon was not.. Read More
